CAMDA 2006 Conference

The sixth international conference for the Critical Assessment of Microarray Data Analysis (CAMDA 2006). To be held:

June 8-9, 2006 ~ North Carolina, U.S.A.
Preconference seminar June 7
Hock Plaza
2424 Erwin Road
Durham, NC 27705

CAMDA 2006 offers researchers from computer science, statistics, molecular biology, and other areas an opportunity to benefit from the critical evaluation of various techniques in microarray data analyses.

This is an exciting year for CAMDA.  There is a single common challenge dataset from the CDC Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Research Group that contains gene expression, proteomic, SNP, and clinical data.  We hope this will foster integrative and biological goal-oriented analysis.  Futhermore, the CDC has agreed to experimentally validate biomarkers identified in submitted abstracts!  We have allowed enough time so that the CDC will be able to perform the experiments and present the results at the conference.  This exciting opportunity will bring everyone's research efforts full circle by giving us a qualitative measure of the analyses employed.

The preconference seminar will be hosted by Dr. Richard Simon, and the topic is an overview of the design and analysis of DNA microarray studies for diagnostic and prognostic classification.

All individuals and groups from both academic and commercial entities are invited to join the award competition.

For those who are registered to attend the pre-conference:
